Begun and held in Metro Manila, on Monday, the twenty-eighth day of July, two thousand eight.

[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9690, August 04, 2009 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY FIRST DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The district engineering office in Cagayan De Oro City, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways, shall be reconstituted into two (2) separate district engineering offices. The first district engineering office to be located in Barangay Carmen shall be known as the Cagayan De Oro City First District Engineering Office and the existing district engineering office located in Barangay Macalaban shall be known as the Cagayan De Oro City Second District Engineering Office.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 2. The said Cagayan De Oro City First District Engineering Office shall comprise the barangays of Carmen, Bulua, Kauswagan, Iponan, Balulang, Canitoan, Lumbia, Patag, Mambuaya, San Simon, Dansolihon, Taglimao, Tagpangi, Bisigan, Bayanga, Tiganapoloan, Pigsag-an, Pagaluangan, Pagatpat, Tumpagon, Bayabas, Bonbon, Baikingon and Tuburan; while the Cagayan De Oro City Second District Engineering Office shall comprise the remaining barangays of Macabalan, Puntod, Consolacion, Camaman-an Nazareth, Macasandig, Indahag, Lapasan, Gusa, Cugman, FS Catanico, Tablon, Agusan, Puerto Bugo, Balubal and all urban barangays from Barangay 1 to Barangay 40.

Section 3. The Secretary of Public Works and Highways shall include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Cagayan De Oro City First District Engineering Office, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. The relevant provisions of Sections 1 and 2 of Republic Act No. 9066, and all other laws, decrees, orders, rules and regulations are hereby modified or amended accordingly.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
