[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7673, January 10, 1994 ]

AN ACT TO DECLARE THE SEVENTEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS A NONWORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR THE PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR TO BE KNOWN AS SIQUIJOR DAY

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. Republic Act No. 63 98 which created Siquijor Island into a province was enacted and signed by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos on September 17, 1971.

Section 2. The seventeenth day of September of every year is hereby declared a nonworking special public holiday for the Province of Siquijor to be known as Siquijor Day.1a⍵⍴h!1

Section 3. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on January 10, 1994 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
