REPUBLIC ACT No. 3763

An Act Converting the Mambusao National Agricultural School in the Municipality of Mambusao, Province of Capiz, into an Agricultural and Technical College to be Known as the Mambusao Agricultural and Technical College, and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefor

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. The Mambusao National Agricultural School, situated in the Municipality of Mambusao, Province of Capiz, is hereby converted into an agricultural and technical college to be known as the Mambusao Agricultural and Technical College.

Section 2. The Director of Public Schools is hereby empowered to organize the curricula of the college to meet the needs of the people of the region whereby the secondary instruction prepares the individual for academic leadership or to take his place in society skilled in vocations indigenous to the region and the collegiate curriculum to offer technical agriculture with emphasis on animal husbandry and dairying.1âшphi1

Section 3. The physical and financial assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment, and records of the Mambusao National Agricultural School stand transferred to the Mambusao Agricultural and Technical College.

Section 4. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of the funds of the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said college; Provided, That a portion of the aforementioned sum be used for fellowship among deserving faculty members and for scholarships among bright students showing evidence of merit and the promotion of research in dairying and the improvement in the quality of animals for eggs and meat.

Section 5. Hereafter, the same amount hereby appropriated for the maintenance and operation of the said college, in addition to that which has been appropriated for the maintenance and operation of the Mambusao National Agricultural School in the year nineteen hundred and sixty-two, shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
