REPUBLIC ACT No. 1429

An Act to Convert the Alicia Agricultural and Fishery School in the Province of Catanduanes into a National Agricultural and Industrial School to be Known as the Catanduanes Agricultural and Industrial School, Authorizing the Appropriation of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos for the Purpose

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. The Alicia Agricultural and Fishery School situated in the Municipality of Panganiban, Province of Catanduanes, is hereby converted into a national agricultural and industrial school to be known as the "Catanduanes Agricultural and Industrial School."

The course of instruction shall include, in addition to those now offered, other industrial courses, and the Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.

Section 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos for the conversion of said school, as provided in this Act, and its operation and maintenance for the first school year after the approval of this Act is authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Thereafter, the necessary appropriation for its operation shall be included in the Annual General Appropriation Act.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
