MALACAÑANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No. 1230 DECLARING FRIDAY, 26 FEBRUARY 2016, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF GENERAL SANTOS WHEREAS, Saturday, 27 February 2016, marks the 77th Foundation Anniversary and the Kalilangan Festival of the City of General Santos; WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of General Santos to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that Friday, 26 February 2016 be declared as a special (non-working) day instead of 27 February 2016, which falls on a Saturday; WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of General Santos be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies. NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, 26 February 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the City of General Santos.
