DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 16 TO 22, 2001, AS “PRINTING INDUSTRY WEEK”

WHEREAS, the printing industry serves as a vehicle in promoting the countrys arts and culture;

WHEREAS, the printing industry, as one of the most effective tools in communication, contributes to the furtherance of the countrys goal towards national economic growth;

WHEREAS, the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. will hold its 10th National Printers Convention on September 19 to 21, 2001 with the theme “Enhancing Printing Competitiveness;”

WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus national attention on the vital role played by the printing industry in promoting the governments higher objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 16 to 22, 2001, as “Printing Industry Week” under the auspices of the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc.
