DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2001, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF MASBATE

WHEREAS, the death of Mayor Moises K. Espinosa, Jr. of the City of Masbate is a great loss particularly to the people of said city and has caused deep sorrow among them;

WHEREAS, the people of the City of Masbate desire to show their appreciation and gratitude for the services and dedication extended to them by Mayor Moises K. Espinosa, Jr. by paying their last homage and respect to him;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, August 17, 2001, as a special non-working day in the City of Masbate.1aшphi1
