DECLARING A STATE OF CALAMITY IN REGION I AND IN THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of National Defense as Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare a state of calamity in Region I and in the Cordillera Administrative Region in view of the extensive damage to properties and massive displacement of families caused by the flooding and landslides brought by Typhoon Feria.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
