DECLARING FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 1973, AS “MARINDUQUE PROCLAMATION DAY” IN THE PROVINCE OF MARINDUQUE.

WHEREAS, Friday, February 23, 1973, marks the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of Marinduque as an independent province; and

WHEREAS, to the residents of Marinduque the day is a milestone in their Province’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Friday, February 23, 1973, as “Marinduque Proclamation Day” in the Province of Marinduque.
