[ Proclamation No. 985, March 10, 1972 ]

POSTPONING THE CELEBRATION OF PHILIPPINE AVIATION WEEK 1972 TO THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY 1972, AND ENCOURAGING THE PROMOTION THEREOF BY THE AEROSPACE ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, IN COOPERATION WITH THE CIVIL AERONAUTICS ADMINISTRATION.

By order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, do hereby postpone to the first week of May 1972, this year’s celebration of Philippine Aviation Week due to the unexpected calamity suffered by the Civil Aeronautics Administration with the burning on January 22, 1972, of its MIA Terminal building.

The celebration of the Week shall be under the auspices of the Aerospace Association of the Philippines, in cooperation with the Civil Aeronautics Administration and other organizations involved. A provincial orientation is to observed, with such air shows and other activities as may be organized in cities as Davao, Zamboanga; Cebu, Bacolod, Legaspi and Laoag.

Proclamation No. 774 dated November 10, 1970, is modified accordingly.
