DECLARING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CEBU CITY.

WHEREAS, Thursday, February 24, 1972, marks the charter anniversary of the City of Cebu; and

WHEREAS, the residents of the City should be given the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their City’s history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Thursday, February 24, 1972, as a special public holiday in the City of Cebu.
