[ Proclamation No. 953, January 18, 1972 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE AMATEUR ATHLETIC FEDERATION TO CONDUCT ITS NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 15 TO DECEMBER 31, 1972.

Whereas, the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation (PAAF) seeks to encourage physical education, promote athletic sports among amateurs and develop athletes for international competitions;

Whereas, the above objective cannot be attained without the support of our citizens, so that our youth of today may grow into a healthy and physically fit leaders; and

Whereas, the first phase of the campaign which covered the period from May 1 to December 31, 1971, had come to a successful close;

Now therefore, I, Alejandro Meluhor, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from January 15 to December 31, 1972 as the second phase of the educational and fund campaign of the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation.
