DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF BATANGAS AND LIPA.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, September 27, 1972, marks the anniversary of the birth of the late General Miguel Malvar, one of the last generals to surrender in the revolutionary wars against Spain and the United States; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas, the province of his birth, desire to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 27, 1972, as a special public holiday in the Province of Batangas and in the cities of Batangas and Lipa.
