[ Proclamation No. 1052, July 26, 1972 ]

DECLARING OCTOBER 23 TO 29, 1972, AS INTERNATIONAL TRADE WEEK.

WHEREAS, the Chamber of International Trade, in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs; the Department of Commerce and Industry and the United Nations Office, is sponsoring an International Trade Festival to be held in Manila from October 23 to 29, 1972;

WHEREAS, it is the objectives of the Festival to help accelerate the economic development of the country and increase the per capita income of the individual through the expansion of foreign trade, foreign investments, promotion of tourist trade, and fostering of goodwill, understanding and cooperation among nations; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper to call the attention of the public to this important undertaking;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from October 23 to 29, 1972, as International Trade Week.1aшphi1
