DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 10 TO 16, 1972, AS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK AND CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF ITS OBSERVANCE

In order to give impetus to the role of science in the development of the country, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from July 10 to 16, 1972, as Science and Technology Week, with particular emphasis on “Philippine Science in the Second Development Decade” to be observed throughout the country in schools, colleges and universities, with appropriate ceremonies, under the sponsorship of the National Science Development Board.

The following are designated members of a committee to take charge of the national observance of the Week:

The President, Council of Technology and Allied Sciences of the Philippines Member
The President, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Member
The President, Chamber of Agriculture and Natural Resources Member
The President, Philippine Chamber of Industries Member
The President, National Press Club of the Philippines Member
