DECLARING THE LAST WEEK OF MAY AS MARKETING WEEK.

WHEREAS, it is one of the avowed policies of the Government to promote our economy through expanded foreign trade;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Marketing Association, the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, the Philippine Chamber of Industries, the Department of Commerce and Industry and the Board of Investments are co-sponsoring “Export Marketing Conference ’71” on May 26 to 28, 1971, at the Penthouse Social Hall of the Development Bank of the Philippines; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the importance on marketing in business and industry;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from May 24 to 30, 1971, and the last week of May thereafter as Marketing Week in the Philippines.
