[ Proclamation No. 847, May 3, 1971 ]

DECLARING THE YEAR 1971 AS GENERAL MAKABULOS CENTENNIAL YEAR IN THE PROVINCE OF TARLAC.

WHEREAS, September 17, 1971, marks the centenary of the birth of the late General Francisco Makabulos, one of the country’s foremost revolutionary leaders; and

WHEREAS, there is need to perpetuate his gallantry and patriotism to give inspiration to the people of our generation, especially the people of Tarlac, the province of his birth;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the year 1971 as General Makabulos Centennial Year in the province of Tarlac.
