[ Proclamation No. 722, November 18, 1960 ]

DESIGNATING DECEMBER 4-10 AS PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION WEEK THIS YEAR

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 357, series of 1956, has set aside the second week of November of every year as Public Administration Week for the purpose of achieving further efficiency in the public service; and

WHEREAS, the Council of Administrative Management recommends that Public Administration Week this year be observed in December to coincide with the forthcoming first general assembly of the Eastern Regional Organization on Public Administration (EROPA) in Manila on December 4-10, 1960;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare December 4-10 as Public Administration Week this year and designate the Council of Administrative Management to take charge of the celebration.

I hereby call upon all government and private offices, professional, cultural, civic, religious, and educational organizations, the press, the radio, and all these interested in promoting goodwill and efficiency in the public service to extend their cooperation in making this event a success.
