DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 22 TO 28, 1980, AS PUBLIC RELATIONS WEEK

In order to foster the practice of good public relations, courtesy, and discipline among government officials and employees, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from August 22 to 28, 1960, as Public Relations Week during which the heads of the various departments, bureaus, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, shall conduct an information and education campaign to carry out the objective of this proclamation.

I call upon all citizens and residents of this country, as well as all schools and educational institutions, civic-spirited organizations, and associations, to support this campaign by means of appropriate programs popularizing public relations and courtesy in public offices.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
