MAKING PUBLIC THE CONVENTION CONCERNING CUSTOMS FACILITIES FOR TOURING, THE ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL TO THE CONVENTION CONCERNING CUSTOMS FOR TOURING RELATING TO THE IMPORTATION OF TOURING PUBLICITY DOCUMENTS AND MATERIAL, AND THE CUSTOMS CONVENTION ON THE TEMPORARY IMPORTATION OF PRIVATE ROAD VEHICLES, WHICH WERE CONCLUDED AND SIGNED AT NEW YORK ON JUNE 4, 1954

WHEREAS, the Convention Concerning Customs facilities for Touring, the Additional Protocol to the Convention Concerning Customs for Touring Relating to the Importation of Touring Publicity Documents and Material, and the Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation of Private Road Vehicles, were concluded and signed by the authorized representatives of the Philippines and other countries in New York on June 4, 1954;

WHEREAS, the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines by its Resolution No. 35, dated July 3, 1959, did concur in the approval of the said Conventions and additional Protocol in; accordance with the Constitutions of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the said Conventions and Additional Protocol have been duly ratified by the President of the Philippines in pursuance of the aforesaid concurrence of the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines; and

WHEREAS, the instrument of ratification of the said Conventions and Additional Protocol was deposited with the Secretary of the United Nations of February 9, 1960, and the said Conventions and Additional Protocol entered into force on May 9, 1960;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it known that I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby proclaim and make public the Convention Concerning Customs Facilities for Touring, the Additional Protocol to the Convention Concerning Customs for Touring relating , to the Importation of Touring Publicity Documents and Material, and the Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation of Private Road Vehicles, which were concluded and signed at New York on June 4, 1954, certified copies of which are hereto attached, to the end that the same and every article and clause thereof may be observed and fulfilled with good faith by the Republic of the Philippines and the citizens thereof.1aшphi1
