DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 6 TO 12, 1959, AS PHILIPPINE TEXTILE WEEK

WHEREAS, the local textile industry plays a vital role in the economic life of the nation;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus the people’s attention on this industry in order to enhance Philippine textile;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from July 6 to 12, 1959, as Philippine Textile Week.1aшphi1
