DECLARING TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 1959, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, a historical marker in honor of the late Teodoro M. Kalaw, man of letters, scholar, journalist, historian, and stateman will be unveiled in the City of Lipa on March 31, 1959, his seventy-fifth birthday;

WHEREAS, the people of the City of Lipa desire that they be given full opportunity to witness such an important event;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, March 31, 1959, as a special public holiday in the City of Lipa.
