Proclamation No. 301

EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF SPECIAL SESSION TO AUGUST 15, 1938

Whereas, by Proclamation Numbered Two hundred ninety issued on July twentieth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, the National Assembly was called in special session for a period of ten days commencing on Monday, July twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and thirty eight, for the purpose of considering and passing an election bill and such other measures as the Chief Executive may, from time to time, submit to it; and

Whereas, in order to dispose of important and urgent legislation now pending consideration by the National Assembly, it is found necessary to further extend the period of said special session;

Now, therefore, pursuant to the powers conferred upon me by the Constitution and by existing laws, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby extend the period of special session of the National Assembly, duly called in Proclamation Numbered Two hundred ninety, to Monday, the fifteenth day of August, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, inclusive.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this fourth day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
