Proclamation No. 281

RESERVING FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES A PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE BARRIO OF CALOMINTAO, MUNICIPALITY OF MAMBURAO, PROVINCE OF MINDORO, ISLAND OF MINDORO.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce and pursuant to the provisions of section eighty-three of Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred and forty-one, I hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for school purposes, under the administration of the Director of Education, subject to private rights, if any there be, the following-described parcel of the public domain, situated in the barrio of Calomintao, municipality of Mamburao, Province of Mindoro, Island of Mindoro, and particularly described in Bureau of Lands plan Mr-264, to wit:

Beginning at a point marked 1 on Bureau of Lands plan Mr-264, S. 68° 59’ 16,973.85 m. , more or less, from B. L. B. M. No. 2, municipality of Maburao, thence N. 70° 24’ W. 170.34 m. to point 2; N. 15° 23’ E. 283.58 m. to point 3; N. 16° 23’ E. 142.36 m. to point 4; S. 59° 48’ E. 106.68 m. to point 5; S. 62° 49’ E. 216.46 m. to point 6; S. 15° 50’ W. 179.79 m. to point 7; S. 16° 21’ W. 129.77 m. to point 8; N. 77° 32’ W. 144.20 m. to point 1, point of beginning.

Containing an area of 10.9207 hectares.

Points 1, 2, and 8, old B. L. cylindrical concrete monuments; points 3, cross marked on stone; points 4 and 6, stones marked B. L.; points 5 and 7, crosses on trees; point 2, on bank of Pagbanan River.

Bounded on the northeast and southeast, by property claimed by the Government of the Philippines Islands (Mangyan Reservation); on the southwest, by property of Lorenzo Bernardo; and on the northwest, by Pagbanan River and property claimed by the Government of the Philippine Islands (Mangyan Reservation).

Bearings true. Declination, 1° 11’ E.

Points referred to are marked on Bureau of Lands plan Mr-264.
