[ Memorandum Order No. 407, December 2, 1991 ]

TRANSFERRING TO THE BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY, DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, THE AUTHORITY TO GRANT CLEARANCES TO EXPORT BURI SEEDS AND SEEDLINGS

WHEREAS, Section 4 of the Rules and Regulations promulgated to implement Executive Order No. 1016 dated 25 March 1985 classifies, among others, buri seeds and seedlings as controlled products for exportation from the Philippines and requires for such exportation prior clearance from the Office of the President; and

WHEREAS, the need exists to transfer the authority to grant such clearances to the appropriate implementing agency;

WHEREFORE, the authority to grant clearances to export buri seeds and seedlings is hereby transferred from the Office of the President to the Bureau of Plant Industry of the Department of Agriculture.

Item 6, Section 4 of the Rules and Regulations Implementing Executive Order No. 1016 is hereby amended accordingly.1aшphi1

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
