[ Memorandum Order No. 337, January 4, 1991 ]

EXPRESSING CONCURRENCE IN THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 2297 DATED DECEMBER 26, 1990.

Pursuant to Article IX(C), Section 2(4), of the 1987 Constitution, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby concur in Resolution No. 2297, dated December 26, 1990, of the Commission on Elections entitled: “IN RE: THE DEPUTATION OF CERTAIN NATIONAL AND LOCAL OFFICIALS OR EMPLOYEES, LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND INSTRUMENTALITIES, INCLUDING THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES, PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS AS DEPUTIES OF THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PLEBISCITE ON JANUARY 19, 1991 IN KALINGA-APAYAO AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

The national and local officials and employees, law enforcement agencies, and other instrumentalities, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, are hereby directed to coordinate and cooperate with the Commission on Elections in the performance of their duties and functions.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
