MALACAÑAN PALACE
MANILA

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

[ Memorandum Order No. 805, May 12, 1984 ]

ENJOINING ALL EMPLOYEES WHO WERE ALLOTTED VEGETABLE GARDEN PLOTS TO CLEAN AND PREPARE THEM FOR IMMEDIATE REPLANTING.

It has been observed that our vegetable gardens in front of the Administration Building and the Malacañang Garage have been neglected and/or abandoned. Most of the garden plots are now gathering weeds and have become eyesores instead of wholesome and productive areas as they were originally planned. No less than the First Lady herself called our attention to their deteriorating conditions and neglect. This nullifies our beautification efforts and our policy to encourage the participation of our employees in the government’s self-reliance program.

In view hereof, all employees of this Office who have been allotted garden plots are hereby directed to clean and prepare their plots for replanting without delay, otherwise the garden plots assigned to them will be given to other qualified employees.

The Malacañang Engineer’s Office and the General Services and Maintenance Unit of the Personnel Office are hereby directed to implement this Order immediately.1aшphi1
