In line with the government’s thrust on the search for alternative sources of energy, a study on the Musa hybrid plant has been submitted to the Office of the President for the possible inclusions in the overall energy development program. To accelerate the evaluation and analysis of the merits, feasibility and possible applications of the newly discovered musa hybrid, there is hereby established an inter-agency committee composed of the following:

1. The Presidential Management Staff Chairman
2. The Ministry of Energy/Center for Non-conventional  Energy Member
3. The National Institute of Science and Technology Member
4. The Farm System Development Corporation Member
5. The National Electrification Administration Member
6. The National Science Development Board Member
7. The Ministry of Human Settlements Member
8. The Board of Investment Member
9, The Ministry of Agriculture Member
10. The BRBDP Member

It shall be the responsibility of the committee to conduct an accelerated in-depth study of the musa hybrid plant considering the technical, financial and marketing feasibility of the musa process.

The committee shall submit its findings, conclusions and recommendations to the Office of the President within one month from date hereof. It can call on any government agency with the necessary facilities, test equipment and expertise to assist in the conduct of the study.

The Presidential Management Staff (PMS) shall serve as the Secretariat of the inter-agency committee.
