CREATING A COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE THE COMPLAINT OF THE HEIRS OF THE LATE HERMOGENES CAHILSOT AGAINST MAYOR ANTONIO ACHARON OF GENERAL SANTOS CITY.

Mrs. Emiliana C. Tubo andMs. Carmen C. Obasa heirs of the late Hermogenes Cahilsot in their letter dated July 10, 1981, a copy of which is enclosed, alleged that sometime in January, 1981, Mayor Acharon, together with his brother Jacinto, and a group of heavily armed uniformed men, forcibly entered the land which they have been occupying for many years heated in Calumpang. General Santos City, covered by Pasture Lease No. 1244, and destroyed the fence and valuable improvements thereon; that he committed the same acts on June 29-30, 1981 and during the first week of this month; that, as a result thereof, they suffered heavy losses; and that they are appealing to the President to have this matter investigated in the interest of justice.

In view thereof, there is hereby created a Committee to investigate the aforementioned complaint of theirs of the late Hermogenes Cahilsot composed of the following officials:

1. Genaro Eslava
Officer-in-Charge, Legal Office
Office of the President

2. Francisco A. Robles
Office of the President

3. Representative of the Director of Forest Development

4. Representative of the Director of Lands;

The Committee is authorized to call upon any Ministry, Bureau, Office, Agency or instrumentality of the National Government for such assistance as it may need in the performance of its task.

The Committee shall submit to the President of the Philippines, through the undersigned, a report containing its findings and recommendations within a period of two (2) weeks from the date hereof.1aшphi1
