[ Memorandum Order No. 694, May 5, 1980 ]

CREATING A TASK FORCE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MANGABOL LAKE IN BAYAMBANG, PANGASINAN, INTO A FISH SANCTUARY.

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the government to accelerate and promote the integrated development of the fishery industry and keep the fishery resources of the country in optimum productive condition through proper conservation and protection;

WHEREAS, Mangobol Lake in Bayambang, Panessinan, may be developed into a fish sanctuary to augment the depleted fish supply of the Province of Pangasinan; and

WHEREAS, the President has approved the project to develop Mangabol Loire into a fish sanctuary by replenishing the lake with hito and dalag and other fresh water fishes;

WHEREFORE, a Task Force for the Development of Mangabol Lake in Bayambang, Pangasinan into a fish sanctuary is hereby created to be composed of the following:

Director of Fisheries and Acquatic Resources

Director of Forest Development

Director of Lands

Dean, College of Fisheries, Pangasinan State University

Provincial Commander of the Philippine Constabulary in Pangasinan

The Presidential Executive Assistant, concurrently Vice-Governor of Pangasinan, shall coordinate the activities of the different offices represented in the Task Force and other offices which nay hove something to do with the development of fisheries.

The Task Force shall prepare and implement a plan to develop Mangabol Lake into a fish sanctuary which will involve all government offices concerned as well as the private sector.

The Provincial Commander of the Philippine Constabulary in Pangasinan shall provide needed assistance to the Task Force.1aшphi1

The Task Force may also call upon any ministry, bureau, office, agency, or instrumentality of the Government for such assistance as it may need in the performance of its task.
