[ Memorandum Order No. 602, August 30, 1977 ]

DIRECTING CERTAIN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO GIVE MAXIMUM SUPPORT IN THE REPATRIATION OF FILIPINOS STRANDED IN VIETNAM.

There are 147 Filipinos stranded in Vietnam who are scheduled for repatriation by the Department of Foreign Affairs in September, 1977.

The Department of National Defense including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the National Intelligence and Security Agency, the Department of Social Services and Development, and the Department of Health are hereby directed to extend maximum support and assistance to the Department of Foreign Affairs in said repatriation to insure full security and smooth conduct thereof.1aшphi1

The Commission on Immigration and Deportation, the National Media Production Center, the Department of Labor through the National Manpower and Youth Council, the Department of Public Information, and the National Cottage Industries Administration are likewise hereby directed to render maximum support and assistance in the proper documentation of the repatriates, their training in productive skills and the dissemination to them of essential information.
