AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF A TRAINING ON EFFECTIVE WRITING IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

In line with the government efforts to intensify in-service training programs to upgrade the competence and proficiency of its personnel, there is need to train our action assistants in this Office on the fundamentals and techniques of effective writing designed primarily to enhance their skills, knowledge and effectiveness in the preparation of office communications. This training is necessary considering that the main bulk of the daily official transactions in this Office is carried out through written communications, and the effectiveness of its role in providing leadership as the premier office of the government depends to a large extent on how well written and effective are its communications.

For the foregoing, there is hereby authorized the holding of the Effective Writing Course in the Office of the President from November 8 to December 8, 1976. The sessions shall be conducted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 PM. at the Briefing Room, 4th Floor of the Administration Building.

In view of the importance of this course, all chiefs of offices and primary units in this Office are hereby urged to submit at least two nominees to the Administrative Office not later than Wednesday, November 5, 1976.1aшphi1

For this purpose, Mr. FLORIŅO O. IBAŅEZ, the Training Coordinator, is hereby designated as Special Disbursing Officer of the course with a cash advance to defray all such necessary expenses as are allowable under existing regulations and/or Approved by the Presidential Finance Adviser, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
