[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 378, September 12, 1973 ]

TO : All Chiefs of Divisions and Heads of the Operating Units in the Executive Office

The President has recently enjoined all government offices to implement necessary measures to carry out the current campaign of the government for the conservation of electric power supply.

In view thereof, all Chiefs of Divisions and the Heads of the other operating Units and Offices within the Executive Office are hereby required to institute immediately necessary measures to reduce by at least ten per cent (10%) the electric power consumption in their respective offices. Towards this end, every official or employee of this Office is hereby enjoined to see to it that any or all lights, electric fans, air-conditioners, and various other electrical appliances and office equipment or facilities utilizing electric power are properly shut off, whenever and especially if these are not being used, or at the close of office hours every day; and that the heads of Divisions and Units shall each designate a responsible official to enforce the implementation of this Order.1aшphi1
