[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 377, September 3, 1973 ]

CONSTITUTING AN INTER-AGENCY COMMITTEE TO FORMULATE AND RECOMMEND PROGRAMS, POLICIES, AND IMPLEMENTING MEASURES FOR AN INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT AND RATIONALIZED OPERATIONS OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY.

An inter-agency Committee is hereby constituted to formulate and recommend programs, policies, and implementing measures for an integrated development and rationalized operations of the telecommunications industry. The Committee shall be composed of the following:

The Committee herein constituted is directed to perform the following functions:

(1) Prepare a planning document which will serve to indicate the programs, policy framework, and implementing measures which will govern the development and operations of the telecommunications industry, in order to achieve an integrated and economical development of the industry and maximize its contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

(2) Consult with the agencies involved in the industry, to obtain a comprehensive view of the problems and arrive at a coordinated and efficient approach for rationalizing the industry.1aшphi1

The Committee shall submit its report to the Executive Secretary and to the Secretary of Public Works, Transportation and Communications within ninety days from the date this order is issued.
