CREATING A CABINET COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE STANDARDIZATION OF SALARIES OR COMPENSATION OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING THOSE IN GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS.

Pursuant to Article XII B (Sec.1aшphi1 6) of the new Constitution and in line with the reorganization of the Government, there is hereby created a Cabinet Committee to study the standardization of salaries or compensation of government officials and employees, including those in government-owned or controlled corporations, composed of the following:

Secretary of Finance Chairman
Secretary of Labor Member
Budget Commissioner Member

The Committee shall study, prepare and submit plans and recommendations for the standardization of salaries or compensation of all government officials and employees, including those in government-owned or controlled corporations, taking into account the nature of the responsibilities pertaining to, and the qualifications required for, the positions concerned.

The Committee shall, in the performance of its functions, consider among others, the previous studies and plans made by the Wage and Position Classification Office regarding the standardization of salaries in the government service.

The Committee may avail itself of the assistance of any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, in the performance of its functions.

The Committee shall submit to the President a monthly report of the progress of its work.
