CREATING AN INTER-AGENCY TEAM TO STUDY THE INTEGRATION OF POWER DEVELOPMENT WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SMALL-SCALE INDUSTRIES.

There is hereby established an inter-agency team to study the effective integration of power development with the establishment of small-scale industries in the rural areas.

The team shall be composed of the following:

Mr. Ramon Ravanzo Chairman, National Power Corp. Chairman
Mr. Arthur Alvendia Power Development Council Member
Mr. Roberto de Ocampo National Electrification Administration Member

The team herein constituted shall undertake the following tasks:

1. Study the ways and means whereby the power development program is effectively integrated with the regional dispersal of industries, and in particular with the establishment of small-scale industries in the rural areas.

2. Study the concept of implementation, the institutional framework, the financing, management, and operations of small-scale industries, established in the rural areas thru government assistance.

3. Observe the types of small-scale industries that can be established in the rural areas, which can take advantage of electrification and absorb the excess labor of the rural sector.1aшphi1

4. To carry out its functions, the Inter-Agency Team is hereby authorized to call directly upon any department, bureau or office in the executive branch of the Government or upon any government-owned or controlled entity or agency for such assistance as the Inter-Agency Team may need, and to request for the utilize the services of their personnel.

The team herein constituted shall submit its report to the Power Development Council, within fifteen days after arrival of the team.
