[ Memorandum Order No. 270, February 3, 1972 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO DRAW UP THE IMPLEMENTING DETAILS OF ARTICLE 2186 OF THE CIVIL CODE.

A Committee is hereby created to draw up the implement-of details of Article 2186 of the; Civil Code of the Philippines which provides:

“Every owner of a motor vehicle shall file with the proper government office a bond executed by a government-controlled corporation or office, to answer for damages to third persons. The amount of bond and other terms shall he fixed by the competent public official.”

The Committee shall toe composed of the following:

Insurance Commissioner	–	Chairman
General Manager, Government Service Insurance System	–	Member
Land Transportation Commissioner	–	Member
A representative to be designated toy the Secretary of Justice	–	Member

The government-controlled corporation or office referred to in said Article 2186 of the Civil Code shall toe the Government Service Insurance System.1aшphi1

The Committee shall submit to this Office within sixty (60) days from the date of this Order, a complete plan and program for implementing the above-quoted provision of the Civil Code.
