DEFINING PRESIDENTIAL PRIORITY PROGRAMS AND CONSTITUTING A STAFF TO MONITOR THEM

In accordance with the President’s decision as conveyed in the Cabinet Coordinating Conference of 23 March 1971, the programs listed below are hereby declared to be Presidential Priority Programs and a staff is constituted to monitor them.

For purposes of collecting and presenting information, each of the programs shall be in the direct charge of a Program Data Coordinator, according to the following listing:

These Program Data Coordinators shall report to the Directors of the Development Management Staff through the Management Information Group of the Executive Office.1aшphi1

The functions of this organization shall be to collect information on the progress of the Presidential Priority Programs, comprising those listed above as well as those which may later be designated by the President, present this information in the form of written reports and briefings in the Situations Room of the Executive Office, and formulate recommendations for improving the implementation of these programs.
