CREATINGAN INFORMATION UNIT IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

To provide immediate assistance to the general public who call on the Office of the President to transact- business and to insure immediate attention and/or action on their requests, there is hereby created in the Executive Office a Unit to be known as the Malacaņang Information and Assistance Unit. The Unit shall be under the supervision of an Assistant Executive Secretary and shall be composed of personnel as may be designated or appointed by the Executive Secretary who shall name the head thereof.

The Unit shall have the following duties and functions:

1. To provide callers, visitors and other persons who come to the Office to transact business with accurate information as to the division or unit in this Office handling their papers and/or status of their papers or requests.1aшphi1

2. To attend to and interview such callers and visitors with the view to expediting early action on their papers or requests.

3. To direct-and, if necessary, guide visitors, to the particular official or employee acting on their papers.

The Unit shall coordinate with the Chiefs of Divisions and other primary units in this Office or their duly designated representatives.

All officials and employees are hereby enjoined to extend full support and assistance to the Unit by providing accurate information desired or by taking immediate action on the requests or papers referred to them for action.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
