[ Memorandum Order No. 218, February 17, 1971 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO DEAL AND NEGOTIATE WITH DULY AUTHORIZED OFFICIALS OR AUTHORITIES OF THE UNITED STATES AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (USAID) TO SECURE MATERIAL, TECHNICAL, FINANCIAL AND OTHER FORMS OF AID OR ASSISTANCE FOR THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROGRAM

For the purpose of securing aid from the USAID in the form of material, technical, financial and other forms of assistance for the rural electrification program, there is hereby created a Committee which shall sit down, deal, negotiate and coordinate with the duly authorized officials or authorities of the USAID for the purpose aforementioned. The Committee shall be composed of the following members, namely:

Mr. Bienvenido Villavicencio
National Economic Council
Chairman
Mr. Ruben Ancheta
Presidential Economic Staff
Member
Mr. Roque A. Sorioso
Power Development Council
Member
Mr. Eliseo Tirona
National Electrification Administration
Member

All Departments, Bureaus, offices, agencies and instrumentalities of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporations as well as local governments are hereby directed to extend assistance to the Committee whenever it or any of its members shall so request for such assistance in the performance of the functions herein assigned to the Committee.

This Order shall take effect immediately.1aшphi1
