MALACAÑAN PALACE
MANILA

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

[ Memorandum Order No. 194, August 19, 1970 ]

PROHIBITING TRIPS TO MANILA OF PERSONNEL OF THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE ASSIGNED IN THE PROVINCES WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORITY.

It has been observed that certain employees of this Office who are assigned to specific official stations in the provinces frequently come to Manila for the purpose of submitting reports or taking up some official matters either in connection with their assignment or upon the request of local officials therein without first securing the necessary authority therefor. It is likewise noted that said employees file their claim for reimbursement of traveling expenses incurred in connection with the trip undertaken by them.

In view of the present retrenchment policy and inasmuch as reports can be submitted to this Office through the mail, all officials concerned are hereby directed not to undertake any such trip without first securing the authority of this Office.1aшphi1

Strict compliance with the provisions of this Order is hereby enjoined.

By authority of the President:

(Sgd.) ALEJANDRO MELCHOR
Executive Secretary
