[ Memorandum Order No. 153, December 10, 1969 ]

PRESCRIBING THE PROPER USE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL SEAL AND OF OFFICIAL STATIONERIES OF THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.

Effective immediately, the following rules on the proper use of the Presidential Seal and of official stationeries are hereby prescribed for the guidance of all concerned:

1. The Presidential Seal shall be used only on documents or correspondence signed by the President whenever called for.

2. The official stationery with “Malacañang” letterhead is for the exclusive use of the President and his family. No official or employee of the Office is authorized to use it.

3. The use of stationery with “Office of the President” letterhead shall be strictly for official purposes only and by officials duly authorized to sign correspondence under the various Memorandum Orders issued by the Executive Secretary.

4. Official memo pads with “Office of the President” letterhead which, heretofore, have been unsparingly used even for personal or private affairs, shall not be used by any official or employee for purposes other than official.

As a reminder, attention is hereby invited to Memorandum Order No. 110, series of 1968, which prohibits the giving put of official stationery to unauthorized persons.1aшphi1

Non-compliance herewith shall be dealt with accordingly.
