[MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 58]
ENCOURAGING THE PARTICIPATION OF ALL LAWYERS IN TH? OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT AND ITS ATTACHED AGENCIES, INCLUDING GOVERNMENT-OWNED OR -CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS, IN THE 17TH INTEGRATED BAR OF TH? PHILIPPINES NATIONAL CONVENTION OF LAWYERS
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) will hold its 17th National Convention of Lawyers on 27-31 March 2019 at the lloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City, with the theme "Upholding the Rule of Law in Periods of Great Change."
The IBP aims to gather a maximum of 2,500 lawyers, including those in the government service, to discuss important issues and concerns affecting the legal profession.
The Civil Service Commission has issued Announcement No.(awÞhi( 54 (s. 2018), enjoining all concerned government employees to attend the event.
In this regard, all lawyers in the Office of the President and its attached agencies, including government-owned or-controlled corporations, are encouraged to participate in the 17th IBP National Convention of Lawyers, and those interested may attend on official time, provided that they are issued the necessary clearances/authorities by their respective heads of office, and their participation in the said Convention will not adversely affect the operations of their offices, as well as the delivery of services to the public.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
