EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 417 August 9, 1990

RECONSTITUTING THE CENTRAL VISAYAS REGIONAL PROJECTS (CVRP) BOARD

WHEREAS, the Regional Development Council for Regions VII Executive Committee has recommended the reconstitution of the Central Visayas Regional Projects (CVRP) Board to include the membership of the private sector and non-government organizations in accordance with the provisions of Executive Order No. 308, S. of 1987, as amended and Executive Order No. 363, S. of 1989;

WHEREAS, the participation of the private sector and non-government organizations will promote the efficient and effective implementations of the Central Visayas Regional Projects;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Sec. 1. In addition to its present membership, the Central Visayas Regional Projects Board shall have four (4) members from the private sector and non-government organizations who shall be appointed by the President upon nomination by the Regional Development Council for Region VII. The following criteria shall be considered in the selection of the nominees:

1. representatives of the private sector and non-government organizations must be nominated by organizations duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission;

2. the organization should preferably be regional in scope; and

3. sectoral representation should be as wide as possible.

Sec. 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
