REMOVING JUSTICE OF THE PEACE VICTORIO P. GRATELA OF MATNOG, SORSOGON, FROM OFFICE

This is an administrative case against the justice of the peace of Matnog, Sorsogon, Victorio P. Gratela, for various offenses, varying from negligence and immorality, to more serious charges.1âшphi1

The respondent in this case has been found once guilty of negligence in the performance of his duties and was suspended for a period of six months.

From the investigation conducted by the Department of Justice in the present administrative case, it appears that two of the charges have been proven beyond question—(a) that the respondent is again guilty of serious negligence and that the respondent is again guilty of serious negligence and (b) that his personal conduct is unbecoming a public official. For these reasons, Victorio P. Gratela, justice of the peace of Matnog, is hereby ordered dismissed from the office of justice of the peace.

Done at the City of Manila, this twelfth day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the first.
